A former Out of the Rain artist, Yuri Padal has achieved marked success with his abstract and vivid colour oil paintings, even selling work to actor John
Savage and designing an album cover for local Vancouver band, The Manvilles.
Born in 1949 in Kiev, he studied under the direction of Glushenko and in Rome Padal at the Fresco school of art. He has had many shows between 2005 and 2008, including The Art Garden, Gallery Gachet and the Autumn Brook Gallery. Padal’s art has been bought by many collectors throughout Canada and the U.S.
Padal says: “When I create my compositions, I don’t let my ego control my creativity. I try to connect to the unviersal energies of beauty, color, freedom, and positive balance. I use different tools to create new forms and techniques to communicate with people who will find my art interesting and spiritual.”
